About Randy:
Randy has deep experience in labor & employment matters and both civil and criminal litigation, both in the private and public sectors. Years ago, Randy ran his own firm, and he is very excited to bookend his career by returning to private practice at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs. He is passionate about working with clients on labor relations issues and representing them throughout the process up to and including litigation, if needed.
- Joined Buckingham in 2024
- Previously worked as the Deputy Mayor for Labor Relations for the City of Akron from 2013 to 2022 and Assistant to the Mayor for Labor Relations from 2022 to 2024
- Extensive experience in all areas of labor relations including representing unions, governmental agencies, employers and employees, and going before SERB and the US Department of Labor
- First chair trial experience in numerous trials in State and Federal Courts throughout the states of Ohio, Florida and other National and international venues.
- International experience representing clients at The Hague
- Additional experience in intellectual property law and criminal defense
- Former NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) Certified Agent representing NFL Players. Also represented LPGA players, US Women’s Olympic Soccer Team and MLS soccer players.
- Served as General Counsel under two Summit County Sheriffs
