Buckingham’s Managing Partner, John P. Slagter, has been inducted into the prestigious Society of Benchers at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was honored during their annual dinner gala on June 23, 2016 where he was one of six esteemed alumni and faculty members to be selected for inclusion into the Society.

The Society of Benchers was established in 1962 to honor alumni and non-alumni who make outstanding contributions to their communities and the legal profession and manifest an interest in the progress of the law school. The Society brings honor to its members and to the law school, and provides valuable counsel and leadership in carrying forward the work of the institution.

Since its establishment, the Society and its individual members have been distinguished models of scholarship, leadership, and dignity for law students, younger members of the bar, and the public. Members of the Society are expected to provide assistance, counsel, and leadership to the Dean, the President of the University, and the Law Alumni Association. The Society remains an active force in promoting excellence in legal education.
