Buckingham Selected as a Humane Society 2015 Animal Hero

Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC is proud to announce that the firm has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Corporate Animal Hero award from the PAWSibilites®, Humane Society of Greater Akron.
“We select our heroes by looking at our supporters to see who has helped sustain us both financially and operationally,” said Diane Johnson, President and CEO of PAWSibilites®, Humane Society of Greater Akron. “Buckingham has supported us, including filling board leadership roles, for many years. The firm is a deserving recipient of this award.”
“This is a great honor,” said Patrick Weschler Buckingham Partner and board secretary for PAWSibilites®, Humane Society of Greater Akron. “It means a great deal to me that Buckingham’s contributions have had an impact in shaping the organization, and helping achieve its mission.
The firm will receive the award on September 12 at 6 p.m. during the 15th annual PAWSibility Ball. This event is the largest fundraiser for the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
“The Humane Society is not only the law enforcement for animal cruelty, but is also the only entity that takes in the victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment,” said Johnson. “We take animals that are hopeless, rehabilitate them and then adopt them out to the community. This event, and its supporters like Buckingham, makes it possible for us to continue our work.”
