BUCKINGHAM NAMES NEW PRESIDENT: Client service and strategic growth remain key priorities

[Akron, Ohio, November 1, 2018] Buckingham is pleased to announce that Steven A. Dimengo is the new president of the Firm, and succeeds John P. Slagter as Managing Partner.

John P. Slagter transitions after leading for 17 years
Slagter, a 21-year veteran of the Firm, transitioned from his leadership position after having served the Firm in a leadership capacity for 17 years, 10 of which included his tenure as Buckingham’s Managing Partner.
“As Buckingham enters the final stage of our Vision 20/20 strategic plan, we are well positioned for new leadership to continue to shape and guide the Firm as a leading business law firm in the region,” says Slagter. “I have always been impressed with Steve’s passion for client service and our Firm. I am confident in Steve’s ability to lead this Firm and take us to the next level.”
Slagter was named President of the Firm in 2009. During his tenure, Buckingham created a renewed vision and developed a strategic plan that led to better brand visibility, diversity & inclusion efforts and client service offerings.
