Buckingham Welcomes Matthew Matheney as a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group

(CLEVELAND, OH, April 18, 2013) ― The law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC, is proud to announce that Matthew H. Matheney has joined the firm as a partner in the Cleveland office in the Litigation Practice Group.

Prior to joining Buckingham, Matt was a partner with Thrasher Dinsmore and Dolan and Frantz Ward LLP. He advises clients on a national, regional and local basis on a full spectrum of legal issues, including commercial litigation issues, employment, banking law and commercial lending, estate planning and construction matters. He also has extensive experience representing creditors court proceedings throughout the country.

Matt’s involvement with professional associations includes serving as the co-chair for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association William J. O’Neill Regional Bankruptcy Institute, and serving as the chairman of the Marvin and Sue Sicherman Excellence in Bankruptcy Award. He is also a member of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Alumni Association and the American Banking Institute.

Matt earned a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV® Preeminent™ and was recognized as an “Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Law & Politics Magazine in 2009 and 2011. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster in History, and his juris doctor from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is a member of the Ohio Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Matt lives in Bainbridge with his wife Bridey, two sons (Finn, 8 and Colm, 6) and their English Lab, Maeve. He enjoys military history, exercising, cooking and entertaining, drawing, painting and traveling.
