Buckingham Welcomes Casey J. Davis

(Akron, OH, Oct. 31, 2014) – The law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs is pleased to welcome Casey J. Davis as an Associate in our Akron office. Davis is a member of the Business Practice Group and focuses his practice on state and local tax matters, corporate transactions and other general business matters.

Davis is a May 2014 graduate of the University of Akron School of Law. While pursuing his law degree, Davis clerked at several law firms and in 2012, he served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Deborah L. Cook of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He was also Assistant Editor, and went on to be Editor-in-Chief for Akron Law Review, the University Of Akron School Of Law’s quarterly, legal publication.

“Davis brings with him an exceptional skill set and impressive credentials,” said John Slagter, Buckingham’s Managing Partner. “His business and tax law education will be a great asset to our firm. I am pleased to welcome him to Buckingham.”

Davis received his B.S. in Business Administration, with high distinction, from Ohio Northern University. While in school, Davis earned the Ohio Northern University College of Business Outstanding Senior Award, the Financial Executive International Award and the DeBow Freed Award (the highest level of recognition of excellence in student leadership). In addition, he was also the president of Beta Alpha Psi, a member of Phi Kappa Phi, and Captain of the Ohio Northern University Men’s Varsity Swimming and Diving Team.

Davis lives in North Canton with his wife, Lacey. He enjoys attending concerts at Blossom, running, swimming and travelling.
