Dean Matthew J. Wilson of the University of Akron School of Law visited Buckingham’s Akron office on Tuesday, December 4th. Wilson met with Buckingham attorneys (20 of which are alumni of Akron’s law school) to discuss challenges facing the law school and exciting changes that will begin to take shape in 2015.

Wilson was appointed Dean of the law school in summer of 2014.

Before joining the University of Akron, Dean Wilson served as Professor of Law, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Dean of Student Affairs at University of Wyoming College of Law.

He has 25 years of international experience in legal, business and educational matters in the United States, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. From 2011 to 2014, Dean Wilson served as an international scholar at Kyung Hee University Law School.  In this capacity, he developed a collaborative relationship with the University and taught international negotiations each summer at its campus in Seoul, South Korea.

In addition to Buckingham’s 20 Akron School of Law Alumni, the firm has three attorneys who are adjunct professors at the university.

We were honored to meet Dean Wilson and are proud to continue to support the University Of Akron School Of Law.
