BUCKINGHAM COMMITS TO SUPPORT DIVERSITY PROGRAM AT CLEVELAND METROPOLITAN BAR ASSOCIATION

(AKRON, OH, February 6, 2017) – Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs, LLC announced its support of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s (CMBA) diversity initiative, known as Cleveland Legal Inclusion 2020. The firm committed to donate $5,000 a year over the next three years. These funds will help the CMBA hire a recruitment director who will work to increase regional visibility to attract diverse candidates from across the country.
This 2020 plan stemmed from a CMBA diversity study which quantified the area’s diversity demographics. The study demonstrated a real need for the greater Cleveland community to attract, retain and promote lawyers of diverse backgrounds.
The diversity program coincides with Buckingham’s initiatives which include an internal diversity program headed by Buckingham Partner Marietta Pavlidis.
