(Akron, OH, April 28, 2022) – On April 27, 2022, during the annual meeting of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC Shareholders, the promotion of two Partners to Shareholder and the election of a new member to the Firm’s Executive Committee, were determined, effective immediately.
Lucas Murray and Joshua O’Farrell have been promoted to Shareholders. Lucas joined the Firm in March of 2020 in the Business Practice Group. He is a natural business developer and applies those talents not only to growing his client base, he has also been a powerhouse for recruiting efforts. Josh, who specializes in matters related to oil and gas, joined Buckingham in December of 2019 and has been a tremendous asset in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, successfully arguing before the Supreme Court of Ohio recently. They are both based in Buckingham’s Canton, Ohio office.
Cleveland Office Partner-in-Charge John Swansinger has been elected to the Executive Committee, filling the seat formerly held by Carl Dyczek. John joined Buckingham in 2013 in the Real Estate & Construction Group. He is the author and creator of “YouDig?,” Buckingham’s online construction law platform. He is currently serving as Chair of the Firm’s Culture Committee, having served in that role during the most recent Strategic Planning process. He is also an active member of the Recruitment & Retention Committee. John joins Dirk Riemenschneider, Susan Rodgers, Dustin Vrabel and Steve Dimengo who have each been selected for their leadership skills and experience to continue guiding Buckingham’s strategy, growth and focus on client service.
Additionally, the Shareholders have voted to extend the term of Steve Dimengo as President and Managing Partner for the next three years. “These three new appointments are well deserved and are the result of the passion, hard work and commitment of John, Lucas and Josh, who bring their very best in service of our clients each day,” said Dimengo. “And I am humbled and honored to continue to lead Buckingham, as we continue to help our clients succeed by providing dedicated partnership and counsel.”
