Robert W. Malone Receives Foundation Commitment Award

Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC is proud to announce that Robert W. Malone, partner, has received the first-time Foundation Commitment Award for his years of dedicated service to the Akron Bar Foundation.
Malone accepted the award at the Annual Foundation Gala Dec. 6 at the Akron/Fairlawn Hilton. Malone’s family, along with 23 Buckingham attorneys and staff, and their family members, were in attendance to applaud him on his achievement.
“The receipt of this award is an honor,” says Malone. “I am proud to continue the tradition of service, to the Bar and our community, begun by Mr. Buckingham and continued by my mentors at the firm such as Sam Bartlo and Rob Briggs.”
Malone, a member of the Akron Bar Foundation for more than 20 years, previously served as the president of the Foundation and was a member of the board for nine years. While Malone was president he helped to recruit the most new members, represented the Foundation when the Akron Bar Association and Akron Bar Foundation purchased their new building, and helped with the Akron Law Library Association merger.
Malone joined Buckingham in 1976 as an associate and is now chair of the Business Practice Group. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Buckingham for many years. Malone is a faculty member of the University of Akron Master of Taxation Program.
