Erin is a skilled litigator with extensive experience in complex commercial and criminal cases at the state and federal levels. Known for her fierce advocacy and results-driven approach, Erin helps clients navigate high-stakes disputes with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes. She has successfully represented clients in a range of areas, including commercial, banking, oil and gas, product liability and toxic torts, employment, and corporate criminal defense.

She has successfully represented clients in multimillion-dollar breach of contract cases, employment disputes, and antitrust matters, including class actions. With first-chair trial experience, Erin excels at guiding clients through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution to address their most pressing legal challenges.

In addition to her legal practice, Erin serves her community as Vice President of Summit County Council and in leadership roles with various local boards and committees. Erin’s client-focused approach and dedication to achieving the best possible results make her a trusted advocate for businesses and individuals alike.

Experience

General Corporate Litigation

  • First chair trial attorney for a materials manufacturer in a successful breach of contract lawsuit against two principals of a contracting company in a multi-week jury trial in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas that resulted in two unanimous verdicts and allowed compensatory damages nearing $700,000 against each defendant.

Employment Litigation

  • Represented employers in racial, sex, and age discrimination suits.
  • Represented hospital and industrial employers in employer intentional tort cases in state and federal courts.

Banking and Commercial

  • Represented national financial institutions in various types of litigation, including nationwide class actions.

Appellate Practice

  • Represented clients before appellate courts throughout Ohioand before the Ohio Supreme Court.

Arbitration/Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice

  • Represented commercial clients in multiple arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association, both at in-person hearings and through briefing. Extensive experience with alternative dispute resolution processes, both private and court-based.

Oil and Gas

  • Represented oil and gas producers in landowner lawsuits and other disputes throughout Ohio.

Antitrust

  • Represented national medical institutions in federal antitrust class actions regarding nurses’ wages.
  • Represented clients under investigation with the US Department of Justice for alleged wrongdoing associated with state contracts.

Corporate Criminal

  • Participated in the defense of companies in Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission inquiries and internal investigations relating to accrual and loss contingency accounting, revenue recognition, bill and hold-related compliance, capitalization, and amortization-related accounting issues.
  • Assisted with independent internal investigations for audit committees or special committees of the boards of directors in matters involving allegations of financial wrongdoing relating to accounting and disclosure issues, insurance matters, stock options backdating, and breaches of fiduciary duty by senior executives.

Commercial

  • Acted as lead counsel on consumer cases throughout the country.

Products Liability

  • Extensive experience as part of national coordinating counsel teams for defense of toxic tort claims and product liability claims, for multiple clients, including major manufacturers of vehicles and aircraft, defending lawsuits throughout the country.

Insurance Coverage

  • Represented major corporate policyholders in multi-million dollar lawsuits against their insurers.
