SLAGTER ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF THE YMCA OF GREATER CLEVELAND

On Thursday, April 28, 2016, John Slagter began his term as Chairman of the Board of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland.
As Chairman of the Board, Slagter will lead the board with a focus on organizational direction, priorities and evaluation. He will work directly with the board and organizational leadership to collaboratively drive forward the YMCA of Greater Cleveland’s mission.
“We are thrilled to have John Slagter take on the role Chairman of the Board for the YMCA of Greater Cleveland,” says YMCA Interim CEO Joe Cerny.” John is passionate about the YMCA’s mission and focus to strengthen the foundation of the Greater Cleveland community. We are fortunate to have John as our Chairman of the Board and believe his skills, passion and commitment to the YMCA and community will serve us well.”
Slagter is taking over this role from former 2015 Chair, Clark L. Fitzgibbons.
