Practice Area And Professional Expertise
- Concentrates his practice in the areas of federal practice including complex state and federal litigation matters, intellectual property disputes (including patent, copyright, trade secret, and Internet/Web litigation), business, securities, and commercial disputes, and e-Discovery and Data Storage Management consulting.
- Represents a diverse group of clients, both as local and lead counsel, in litigation and alternative dispute resolution/mediations. He works with national and international concerns in various disciplines including the motion picture, entertainment and broadcasting industries, Internet and satellite service industries, and in various manufacturing disciplines including automotive/transportation, medical product/devise, pharmaceutical, chemical and polymer/plastics industries. He also works with individual clients regarding asset management matters as well as intellectual property matters.
- Previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James S. Gwin, United States District Court, Akron, Ohio (1997-1999) and to the Honorable William T. Bodoh, United States Bankruptcy Court, Youngstown, Ohio (1996-1997).
- Also worked as a research specialist with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of the General Counsel, Washington, D.C. (1995) and was a judicial extern to the Honorable Walter H. Rice, U.S. District Court, Dayton, Ohio (1994).
- Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Wiese worked as Mutual Fund Legal Product Coordinator and Senior Registered Representative with the Scudder Funds, Scudder, Stevens & Clark, Boston, Massachusetts (1988-1993).
