Business/Corporate Associate (0 to 3 Years)

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts and advising on related transactions;
• Advising on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate governance matters;
• Assisting in due diligence efforts and post-deal integration;
• Maintaining a current working knowledge of laws and regulatory developments; and
• Structuring and drafting documents for commercial and finance transactions.

Qualifications:

• 0 to 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department – newly graduated law students are encouraged to apply;
• Experience and/or background in business, commercial transactions, lending, finance, tax, or accounting preferred;
• Strong drafting, research and writing skills;
• Ability to work effectively with teams and independently, as well as manage and prioritize multiple projects;
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills; and

• Candidate must be licensed or attain license to practice law in the State of Ohio.
