Buckingham participates in American Heart Association’s Heart Walk

On Sept. 13, a group of seven Buckingham staff members attended the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at the University of Akron.

Based on the efforts of Team Captain, Lisa Crilow, along with Bill Caplan, Steve Hammersmith, Nick George, Matt Duncan, Joanna Brown, Rob Malone and others, Buckingham raised more than $7,500 for the American Heart Association.

“Walking with our company gives great pride and raises awareness about living a healthy lifestyle,” says Crilow. “Walking and talking with our team, and others, shares our common interest in the community in support of this great cause.”

The American Heart Association has become a true partner for Buckingham. Through the years, AHA staff members have provided CPR and AED training, as well as heart-healthy activities that can take place around the firm’s office buildings

Caplan, Buckingham’s Partner-In-Charge of the Akron Office, has served on the American Heart Association’s Board of Directors for the past five years.

“I am proud to help support the AHA” says Caplan. “Our firm truly rally’s around the cause and is happy to support the Association’s mission to build healthier lives.”

Beyond the Heart Walk, Buckingham actively participates in AHA’s Go Red for Women campaign and the annual Heart Ball each year.
