Expansions and Mergers
To meet changing client needs, our Akron office merged with Herndon & Bartlo in 1971, Penner & Stein in 1974, and Nicholas T. George & Associates in 1997. The Canton-Belden Village office opened in 1984 to serve medical malpractice cases, while a merger with Amerman, Burt & Jones in 1991 gave the Firm an even broader base in downtown Canton. In 1999, the Canton-Belden Village and downtown Canton offices were consolidated into a new Canton office building in Jackson Township. We established the Columbus office in 1989 to service clients in the state capital, and opened a Cleveland office in 1990. We established our Florida office in Boca Raton in 1995 to service relocated clients and South Florida businesses. In 2000, we merged the Donohue Law Firm with our Boca Raton office to service clients in the area of trust and estate planning. With continued economic growth in South Florida, BDB opened its sixth firm-wide office, in West Palm Beach, in March of 2006. This new office will give us locations in both the northern and southern regions of Palm Beach County and allow us to better serve the growing South Florida business community.
