Akron, OH - Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP is pleased to announce that Martin J. Pangrace has been accredited as a LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate. Mr. Pangrace is a member of the Real Estate & Construction Practice Group. He represents construction industry clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation proceedings. Mr. Pangrace also assists clients with the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts and other project documents. As an accredited Green Associate, he will broaden his practice to include green building law, including consulting and claims analysis for construction projects designed to achieve greater energy efficiency and which incorporate sustainable design and building practices. LEED is a third party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED certification offers third party validation of a project’s green features and verifies that the building is operating as designed. LEED certified projects blend environmental, economic and occupant-oriented performance benefits. The LEED Green Associate credential is designed for professionals who want to demonstrate building expertise in non-technical fields of practice. The LEED Green Associate credential indicated basic knowledge of green design, construction and operations. As one of only 351 LEED accredited attorneys in the United States, Mr. Pangrace is the first person to obtain the Green Associate credential in Ohio. Mr. Pangrace is admitted to practice in Ohio; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio; and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Forum on the Construction Industry), Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Pangrace received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University (2001), and earned his B.A., with honors, from Carnegie Mellon University (1997). He resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
