Cleveland, OH -  CLEVELAND, OHIO – February 6, 2009 – Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP, is pleased to announce that Timothy A. Spirko has been elected Partner by the Firm’s Board of Managers. Spirko is a member of the Firm’s Health & Medicine Practice Group with a focus on medical malpractice defense litigation, including defense of physicians, hospitals and nursing homes. “Tim is an exceptional member of our health and medicine team and has demonstrated an outstanding level of expertise in his area of practice. His election to Partner speaks to the excellence of the legal services he provides to our clients,” said David L. Drechsler, Managing Partner of the Cleveland office of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP. Prior to joining the Firm, Spirko worked as a Staff Attorney for Baker & Hostetler, LLP and as an Associate for Friedman and Hoffman in Cleveland. Spirko also has extensive clerking experience with several Cleveland-area firms, including Meyers, Hentemann & Rea Co., LPA; Short, Shepherd & Stanton; Jacobson, Maynard & Tuschman Co., LPA; and Friedman, Domiano & Smith Co., LPA. Spirko was recently recognized as one of Ohio’s Super Lawyers-Rising Stars™, in the 2009 Cincinnati Magazine, as voted by his peers. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland, Ohio (1998). While attending law school, Spirko was on the Dean’s List, received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Health Care Law, and interned with University Hospitals of Cleveland. In addition, he received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University (1994). He is a member of the American and Ohio State bar associations. Mr. Spirko is currently licensed before all courts in Ohio (1999). Mr. Spirko resides in Westlake, Ohio with his wife Jenifer.
