David Kern Named as Corporate Lawyer of Year, 2009 Akron

Akron, OH - AKRON, OHIO – February 25, 2009 – The law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP (“BDB”) is pleased to announce that David Kern has been named as the Best Lawyers’ 2009 Akron Corporate Lawyer of the Year.

In addition to his general corporate and tax practice, he has significant experience in the corporate transactional area having been involved in numerous mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and private placements. Kern has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2003 and is also listed as one of Ohio’s Super Lawyers™ since 2004, as voted by his peers. He has a Martindale-Hubbell Rating of AV, which indicates very high to pre-eminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar.

Kern has undergraduate degrees from Tulane University and The Ohio State University. He earned his J.D. from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and his Masters of Laws, in Taxation, from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Akron Bar Associations and is admitted to practice law in the Northern District Court of Ohio and the Western District Court of Pennsylvania. Kern resides in Bath, Ohio.
