Akron, OH -  AKRON, OHIO – February 11, 2009 – Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP, is pleased to announce that Marietta M. Pavlidis has been elected Partner by the Firm’s Board of Managers. Pavlidis is a member of the Firm’s Family Law, Employment & Workers’ Compensation and Litigation Practice Groups with experience in divorce, dissolution, legal separation, child custody matters and representation of employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation. “Marietta is an attorney with excellent legal skills and a strong focus on the welfare of the clients she serves. She has been an outstanding member of our team of attorneys in the Akron office and I am very pleased that she has been elected as a Partner of the Firm,” said William L. Caplan, Managing Partner of the Akron office of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP. Prior to joining Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP, Pavlidis was an Associate with Letson, Griffith, Woodall, Lavelle & Rosenberg Co, LPA, in Warren, Ohio, where her primary areas of practice included family law, workers’ compensation, litigation, probate law and immigration law. Pavlidis also served as a law clerk for 13 judges and 10 magistrates for the Cleveland Municipal Court and as a mediator for the Small Claims Division of that Court. Pavlidis earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland, Ohio (1997). In addition, she received her B.A. from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio (cum laude, 1994). She is a member of the Ohio State, Trumbull County and Akron bar associations where she also served as Chair of the Family Law section of the Akron Bar Association from July 2007-July 2008. Pavlidis is currently licensed before all courts of Ohio and the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio (2001). Ms. Pavlidis is fluent in Greek and resides in Warren, Ohio.
